On a 2017-up F-250 or F-350 with the short bed that means a locking, walk-on-strong bed cover underneath and a mounting point for racks, bikes, kayaks or a tent up top.
Matte-black powder-coated, double-wall aluminum slats handle 500 lbs. evenly distributed. Lock the handle with a key wherever it stops; the cover rolls regardless of the tailgate. The side rails accept most aftermarket T-slot crossbars and carriers, so the bed stays usable even with gear on top. It carries a Retrax lifetime warranty.

What's included
Complete cover: canister with the aluminum slat deck, T-slot side rails, clamps, drain tubes, keys and mounting hardware. Plan to buy racks and crossbars separately.
Install notes
No drilling or cutting: it clamps onto the rails with hand tools. Budget one to two hours with a helper for placing the canister. Send the drain tubes out the factory drains so water exits, and snug the clamps again after the first week.
