Description
The MBRP ARMOR Plus filter-back gives a 2011-2019 Duramax its diesel sound and look back while the emissions system stays intact. It replaces everything after the DPF with bigger mandrel-bent T409 stainless steel pipe.
Out come the factory muffler and restrictive pipe, so you hear more turbo and engine without a raspy, droney cabin. T409 stainless hits the sweet spot for most owners, resisting rust far better than aluminized pipe and costing less than polished T304. It uses the factory hangers and bolts right in.

Install notes
It bolts on with basic hand tools. It is about an hour of work on jack stands or a lift. This is a filter-back system, so your DPF, SCR and catalyst stay on the truck and your emissions system keeps working. Not legal for sale or use in California, or on pollution-controlled vehicles where prohibited. On the Silverado/Sierra 2500HD/3500HD Duramax 5in, check hanger alignment before final tightening.
