Firestone Sport-Rite air helper springs mount between the frame and rear axle of your 1999-2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 / GMC Sierra 1500 (not HD) and 1997-2004 Ford F-150 and give the factory leaf springs adjustable help. Air up before you hook a trailer to the hitch or load the bed and the truck stays level instead of squatting, which keeps your headlights on the road, puts weight back on the steer axle and lets the brakes work the way they were designed. Let the pressure back down when you are running empty and the truck rides close to stock.

Sport-Rite uses a tapered air spring that improves ride quality empty and adds up to 3,000 lbs of load support per pair when you need it (never exceed your truck's GVWR). Separate inflation valves for each side let you level an off-center load.

What's included

Kit includes upper and lower brackets, two air springs, mounting hardware, air line and inflation valves.

Install notes

Bolt-on install with hand tools, plus some drilling for the brackets. Most installs take 2-3 hours. Route the air lines away from the exhaust and moving parts, check for leaks after install, and keep at least 5 PSI in the springs at all times.
