Description
Firestone Sport-Rite air helper springs mount between the frame and rear axle of your 1995-2004 Toyota Tacoma 4WD and 2WD PreRunner and give the factory leaf springs adjustable help. Add pressure before hitching up or loading the bed and the Toyota Tacoma and PreRunner sits level, so the front tires keep their grip, the headlights stay pointed at the road and braking feels normal again. With no load, lower the pressure and the ride quality stays close to how the truck left the factory. Mid-size trucks like the Toyota Tacoma and PreRunner run out of rear spring quickly with a trailer or a loaded rack.
Sport-Rite uses a tapered air spring that improves ride quality empty and adds up to 3,000 lbs of load support per pair when you need it (never exceed your truck's GVWR). Separate inflation valves for each side let you level an off-center load.

What's included
The box holds both air springs, the upper and lower brackets, hardware, air line and fill valves.
Install notes
Mostly a hand-tool bolt-on, though the brackets need a few holes drilled. Typical install time runs 2-3 hours. Route air lines well away from heat and moving parts, spray-check the fittings for leaks, and hold at least 5 PSI in the springs.
