Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Spring Kit - 2010-2018 Ram 1500 2WD/4WD (not for Rebel models)

This Ride-Rite kit is matched to the 2010-2018 Ram 1500 2WD/4WD (not for Rebel models): a pair of Firestone air helper springs bolts in between the frame and rear axle and backs up the factory rear springs with support you set with air. Put air in ahead of a towing or hauling job and the rear end holds its height, which keeps weight on the front axle for steering and braking and keeps your lights out of oncoming drivers' eyes. Running empty? Drop the pressure and the Ram 1500 rides close to stock. Half-ton Ram 1500 owners notice it most with a boat or travel trailer on the hitch.

The springs fill independently, one valve per side, so a lopsided load like a transfer tank or a side-heavy tool box can be leveled out with a few extra PSI where it is needed. Rated load leveling for this kit is up to 5,000 lbs per pair, and the truck's GVWR still applies.

Firestone lists this kit as not for Rebel trucks. Call us to confirm fit on special-edition trims.

Install notes

The brackets bolt to existing factory holes, so nothing gets drilled. With hand tools, most installs run about 1-2 hours. Keep the air line clear of the exhaust and anything that moves, leak-check every fitting when you finish, and never run below 5 PSI.
