The Bilstein 5160 is the rear shock for 2009-2013 F-150 4x4 owners who work their trucks hard: towing, long washboard roads and real off-road miles.

A piggyback reservoir adds oil capacity, so it runs cooler and does not fade when a regular shock would be cooked. You still get the planted feel of a Bilstein monotube on the highway, with a lot more staying power off it.

Install notes

Bolts into the factory mounts with the hardware Bilstein includes. Plan on about 30 to 60 minutes per shock with basic hand tools and jack stands; support the axle before you unbolt a shock. Mount the reservoir with the clamp where it clears brake lines and the exhaust.
