When your Banks Ram-Air filter is due, get the genuine replacement element. Banks Ram-Air filters are high-flow elements that reduce intake restriction and keep cool, dense air flowing to the engine. Their multi-layer design catches moisture, dust and debris on the outer surface, so air keeps moving even when the filter is wet or dirty.
Each element comes in Banks' oiled or dry version. Oiled elements can be cleaned and re-oiled. Banks lists 4.2 oz for the 42259, 4.5 oz for the 41829 and 2.2 oz for the 42138. Dry elements must never be oiled. Match the element to the Ram-Air intake on your truck. The part number is on the old filter, and we're happy to help you confirm it.
