The Banks Monster Exhaust is a DPF-back upgrade for late-model diesel trucks. It uses constant-diameter 5 in. mandrel-bent tubing in 409 stainless or aluminized steel, depending on the application, and ends in Banks' patented SideKick tip, which is designed to create negative backpressure at the outlet.

Banks' numbers: on the 2017-2019 L5P Duramax, 85% less backpressure and 15% lower exhaust exit temps than stock. The stock nozzle is 2.85 in., so the 5 in. outlet makes a big difference to trailers parked behind you. On the Ford 6.7L, 82% less backpressure. It installs behind the DPF and keeps all factory aftertreatment in place.
