Description
AMP Research's PowerStep Smart Series adds phone control to the power running board. It drops a step on your 2021-2026 Ford F-150 whenever a door opens and stows it when the door shuts, and the app lets you push the boards out or lock them up on demand.
On-demand control helps when loading the roof rack, washing the truck, or running a rough trail with the steps tucked away. The app also runs the under-board LED lights and replaces the old manual override switch.
Features
- Deploys automatically with any door, retracts when it shuts
- Everything in the box: two boards, motors, brackets, harness and hardware
- Die-cast aluminum linkages with a corrosion-resistant coating
- App control for the under-board LED lights
- 5-year warranty from AMP Research
- iOS and Android app to deploy, retract or lock the boards on demand
- Specific to the 2021-2026 Ford F-150

What's included
Two power running boards (driver and passenger), motor assemblies, the vehicle-specific mounting brackets, wiring harness and all hardware. It ships as AMP Research part 86152-01A.
Install notes
Mounts under the rocker panels using the vehicle-specific brackets in the kit; AMP lists this kit as drilling required. Plan on 3 to 5 hours with basic hand tools and a drill. No cutting or splicing: the wiring plugs into the factory harness. Check that everything on the Ford F-150 cycles correctly before the first drive.
Power step and bed step kits change with year, cab and engine. Call (806) 503-2161 with your truck's details and we will confirm the kit before you buy.
