Description
PowerStep from AMP Research started the power running board category, and it is still the most requested. Open a door on your 2024+ Toyota Tacoma and a step swings down and out; shut it and the board tucks up under the rocker where it cannot catch on rocks, curbs or ruts.
It is the plug-and-play version: the harness connects to factory wiring with no wire tapping. When the steps come out, LEDs under the boards light the ground; the linkages are cast aluminum with a hard protective coating.

Install notes
The vehicle-specific brackets in the kit mount it under the rocker panels, and AMP lists this kit as drilling required. Plan on 3 to 5 hours with basic hand tools and a drill. Anyone uneasy with wiring should consider a professional install. No cutting or splicing: the wiring plugs into the factory harness.
