Description
This S&B cold air intake for the 2003-2008 Dodge Ram 2500, 3500 5.7L swaps the factory airbox for a sealed housing that draws outside air, a large filter and a smooth intake tube. With less restriction, throttle response sharpens and the engine gets more air when you ask for it. Listed fits include the 2006-2008 Dodge/Ram 1500 (Mega Cab Only) 5.7L Gas and the 2003-2008 Dodge/Ram 3500 5.7L Gas. A clean filter keeps the gains, so service it on a dust-based schedule, not just mileage.
Install uses factory mounting locations and common hand tools.
Filter options
- Cotton Cleanable: high-flow oiled cotton media. Service it with a wash and re-oil, then reuse it. The filter arrives with around 85 grams of oil applied.
- Dry Extendable: synthetic, oil-free media that suits daily drivers and dusty lease roads. Blow it out or wash it and reuse it.
Specs
- S&B part numbers: 75-5111 (Cotton Cleanable), 75-5111D (Dry Extendable)
- Tune required: no, works with the factory tune
- Emissions: lacks a CARB EO, which rules out road use in California and other CARB states on pollution-controlled vehicles
