Retrax's flagship PowerTraxPRO XR combines a motorized aluminum cover with T-slot rails. On a 2019-up Silverado or Sierra 1500 with the 5 ft 9 in bed it opens from your key fob, lights up the bed at night, and still gives you somewhere to mount a rack or bike carrier.

The cover rolls on sealed bearings, locks in any position, and keeps working even with gear loaded on the rails above it. A canister-mounted LED lights the bed for after-dark loading. Most aftermarket T-slot accessories fit the rails, leaving the hitch free for towing. It suits fifth-wheel setups well. It carries a Retrax lifetime warranty.

Install notes

Because the motor has to be wired in, plan a half day, a helper and some basic 12-volt wiring skill. The rails still clamp on without drilling. Drain tubes go out the bed drains; recheck clamps after week one. Any competent accessory shop can handle the wiring if you prefer.
