Fleece Performance Coolant Bypass Kit - 2006-2007 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 5.9L Cummins (Automatic)

On the 2006-2007 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 5.9L Cummins (Automatic), cylinders 5 and 6 get coolant last, so the back of the engine runs hotter than the front. That heat builds pressure at the rear of the block and is a known cause of blown freeze plugs, including the small ones under the valve cover. The Fleece coolant bypass gives the rear of the head a second exit through its own thermostat, so coolant keeps moving through the back of the engine and all six cylinders run closer to the same temperature.

Unlike a pressure-relief bypass, the Fleece thermostat opens on temperature, so it starts working before pressure climbs. If you tow, run more power than stock, or just want your Cummins to last, this is one of the best reliability upgrades you can make.

Built for 2006-2007 trucks with the automatic transmission. 2003-2005 automatic trucks use FPE-CLNTBYPS-CUMMINS-0305.

Install notes

Bolt-on install with hand tools. Plan on draining and refilling coolant, and bleed the air out of the system after the install.
