Every 6.7 Cummins owner has heard the horror story: the small nut on the intake grid heater works loose, breaks, and drops into the engine. The grid heater pulls around 200 amps through that little stud, and over time the connection can arc and fail. BD's Killer Grid Heater Upgrade Kit fixes the weak point without giving up cold-start heat.

Install notes

Bolt-in job at the intake. On 2011-2012 trucks, BD says a small tab has to be trimmed with a Dremel or hacksaw. Follow BD's instructions on torque.
