Banks Power Monster-Ram Intake Elbow - Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins

The factory intake horn on a 24-valve 5.9L is a choke point between the intercooler and the head. The Banks Monster-Ram replaces it with a big, red powder-coated elbow that lets more cool, oxygen-rich air from the intercooler into the cylinders.

Banks says it raises boost 1.23 psi over stock without adding backpressure at the turbine, and out-boosts the competition by up to 56.9%. You get quicker torque, better response and a little better fuel economy. Up to six 1/8-inch NPT ports give you places for boost, temperature or other sensors, so it works well with gauges or future upgrades. The 1998-2002 kit is 3.5 in. and includes a boost tube. The 2003-2007 kits come in a stock-intercooler-pipe version or with a boost tube.
