Description
Lifted or not, a heavy-duty truck sits up high. The AMP Research PowerStep fixes that: open the door and the step swings down and out, close it and the step tucks back up under the rocker, out of the way of rocks and ruts.
It's the step we recommend most for folks who want easy entry without hanging a fixed board on the side of the truck.
Why we like it
- Deploys automatically when any door opens and retracts when it closes
- Aluminum construction with powder coat and stainless hinge pins
- 300 lb capacity per door
- Built-in LED lighting on the step
- 6 in. wide slip-resistant step surface
Fitment
Kits are vehicle specific for Ram 2500/3500, Ford Super Duty and GM 2500HD/3500HD. Choose your exact truck in the Fitment menu. On 2019-2023 Ram diesels, the Smart Series version requires relocating the air tank.
What's in the box
Vehicle-specific mounting kit with brackets, hardware, wiring and motors.
Install notes
Plug-and-play wiring, with newer models connecting through the OBD-II port. Some applications require drilling, and AMP recommends professional installation.
